yeah, the latest versions of Automake add a version suffix to their data
directories, which breaks our setup hook. I've committed a quick fix.

Yeah, maybe we should. It's just that going through that procedure
creates a *lot* of overhead. Branches are cheap, alright, but most
of us don't have a way to configure Hydra.
