[Nix-dev] What about continuing downloads?

Does it make sense to download files into a special temp dir eg
/tmp/nix-downloads/hash.file so if the download is aborted (because
another build failed or you suspended your machine for some hours..)
it can be resumed?
Of course this should work for fetchurl and nix-prefetch-url.

Do you think this should be optional? It can't go wrong cause you check
against the hash afterwards

Thoughts ?
