[Nix-dev] X server too slow coming up for kdm (modular-nixos)

It could very well be this :

I'm not sure that the old machine part is relevant but kdm being
started before x is truly ready, might be.

Anything in any of the other logs that give an indication of what's causing it?
Maybe you have an nvidia card and the driver could use an update?
