[Nix-dev] /nix/etc/nix/nix.conf

When adding a cygwin port do you think we should move the configuration
file to /etc/nix.conf? Nobody (not knowing nix) will find the file in
/nix/etc/nix.conf without reading the manual...

What have been the reasons to put it all into /nix ?
The same question applies to /nix/bin -> /usr/bin (cygwin default)..
Does someone mind me moving the files to cygwin default locations (cyg
dist only of course)
