What does that do, exactly? The entry at http://nixos.org/nixos/options.html#environment.etc.%3Cname?%3E.source is somewhat lacking...
I made a PR at https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/24707 . If some of you could check it out and give me some feedback that’d be great :-)
