I suggest pinging the mantainers (meta.maintainers AND ppl from git
history of that package) of usb-modeswitch package and if nobody is
interested close it.

The most important thing in triaging issues is to get attention of
people that might be interested. While we have that smart bot
mentioning based on git blame with tickets such as this one, such
thing is not possible.

I would suggest closing tickets that you think are not crucial or
reporter does not provide code that we can include. Ofcourse be nice
in comment and ask reported to reopen if they think you are wrong to
do this.

What you say, could this work and get us less open tickets?
