[Nix-dev] Why does my system rebuild rustc and cargo?

After switching from rustPlatform.{rustc, cargo} to
rustUnstable.{rustc, cargo} it worked.

All of

    rustPlatform
    rustStable
    rustCargoPlatform

etc. caused a rebuild of rustc.

Why the hell?
