[Nix-dev] write_file '/etc/passwd.tmp' - syswrite: Bad address

Sigh... new problem:

[root at wombat9000:~]# nixos-rebuild switch

What I have tried:
1. Ran badblocks, which found no bad blocks on my system.
2. nixos-rebuild switch --repair, which gave the same error.
3. nix-store --verify --check-contents --repair
