Yes, something like that seems doable in future. We would first have to 
standardize config specifications for those most common flag-like cases.

Of course, in some cases it's advantageous to allow passing much more 
complex things than just flags, so not all would be covered, but still.

Anyway, I don't feel like poking into this soon myself (not 2015); my 
ideas on this are pretty vague and I see more pressing matters to solve.
