[Nix-dev] Creating a Custom Channel (non-hydra one)

Folks, 

How does one create a custom channel without a Hydra. Been
looking at nix-push, not sure yet. 

Scenario: 

1. Dev a package
2.
Push to channel 

Any instructions on making this happen? I'll be happy
to add them to nix-push docs once I get it working.
