Yes, it should be stressed that right now noone can give any good 
estimates on how long GNOME 3 might take to be usable. Some apps from 
the stack work for months (e.g. evince) without any serious problems 
(only icons/theming aren't figured out very well AFAIK), but the whole 
thing is complex.
