it's the only setup that works reliably. The old approach based on ghc-wrapper
was a train wreck, really, and the only reason that code wasn't removed from
Nixpkgs long ago is that everyone hesitates to break backwards compatibility.
Anyway, come 2015, ghc-wrapper *is* going to go away -- see the "Haskell NG"
thread for more details.
