Hello, I'm a normal user. I've been struggling to talk to my girlfriend for two weeks because of the same console messages ;D So I'm using slackware64 and i've installed the latest (not required) .deb packages. and enabled localhost, # ifconfig lo up GoogleTalkPlugin seems to be using localhost to connect. Finally worked for me.
