[Nix-dev] wicd woes

A re-installation of my system, using the same configuration.nix
makes wicd unusable.

When I run 'wicd-gtk', I get the following error messages:

    Could not connect to wicd's D-Bus interface. Check the wicd log for
error messages

    Error connecting to wicd service via D-Bus. Please ensure the wicd
service is running.

When I run 'systemctl status wicd.service', I get this:

    wicd.service
       Loaded: loaded

Does anybody have a clue what is happening?
