Could you use lower-case package names?  I.e. "nixosbootpkg" or "nixos-boot-pkg"
or something that expresses that it's an UEFI firmware.  Also, if it's
NixOS-specific, then it should probably be in the NixOS tree rather than Nixpkgs.
