I've had the same trouble - but won't investigate until Monday (which is
supposed to fix it cause Eelco can make services available again).

Probable the easiest fix is to route hydra to an IP which does not exist
or such which is why I'd like /etc/hosts to be editable sometimes ..

I agree that there should be kind of time out.
