This list is now in:
 > pkgs/os-specific/linux/firmware/firmware-linux-nonfree/default.nix

I'd suggest that firmware packages for specific devices just copy their 
files out of this package. Then only this package needs to be 
maintained, and you then still end up with only the firmware of the 
device in question.
