[Nix-dev] Checksum error then everything builds from source

Aha.  That should probably be mentioned in the manual under the
"Single-user mode" section[1] of the manual.  It might also be nice if that
could be autodetected by the 'nix-finish-install' script and setup
properly.  I was also thrown off the trail because this wasn't the case
with nix 1.1.
