[Nix-dev] installing grub on lvm logical volume

Hi all,

I'm trying to install nixos onto an lvm logical volume. All goes well
until I try installing grub. I'd like to keep my current
(debian-managed) grub on the mbr, and have it chainload the
nixos-managed grub. For this, I tried setting boot.loader.grub.device to
/dev/mapper/nixosroot, which grub-install does not understand. Does
anyone have experience with that kind of configuaration?
