Maybe it could be made to have an attribute named 'tag' then? I don't see it
very evident, why I can't use "tagname" in the same place where I use "02341fabcd"
for 'rev'.

Maybe instead of 'rev', it could have "commit", "tag" and "branch" attributes?

Maybe rev ="refs/tags/tag-name" sounds evident for a git hacker, but not to me. :)
I can learn this. but I think of next fetchgit users that may hit this trouble.
