[Nix-dev] GNU Make doesn't build on FreeBSD

Hi guys,

the latest version of GNU Make fails its regression test suite on FreeBSD:

  http://hydra.nixos.org/build/1364498/nixlog/1/raw

Since this tool is kind-of important, I wonder whether we can remedy
this issue somehow. Obviously, disable "make check" would do the trick,
but this approach feels a little reckless. Can someone with access to
that platform please take a look at the problem?
