[Nix-dev] Updating Darwin’s compiler

Hello!

The compiler available on Darwin is quite old (derived from GCC 4.2.1)
and hits internal errors frequently.  It makes it inconvenient for
continuous builds on Hydra, for instance.

Can someone savvy with access to Darwin try to update it?

Better yet, is there a possibility to get GCC to build on Darwin?
