[Nix-dev] notmuch fails to configure

02:35:41 < chaoflow> just committed "notmuch" but the build so far fails
(see commit message) - any help highly appreciated

emacs and xapian

build directory, right in the environment where the configure command is

Checking for Xapian development files... Yes (1.0.23).
Checking for GMime development files... No.
Checking for talloc development files... No.
Checking for valgrind development files... No (but that's fine).
Checking if emacs is available... Yes.
Checking which platform we are on... Linux

Notmuch's configure uses pkg-config --exists|--cflags|--libs for gmime
and talloc.
