I've mostly packaged NetworkManager for NixOS. The missing bits are:
 * upstart job; should be easy to do (I'm just starting every time from 
console because I don't want to do nixos-rebuild before New Year);
 * knm looks for provider info in /usr. Should be patched to look in 
XDG_DATA_DIRS (there is a standard KDE function to search for 'data' files; 
forgotten the name);
 * add package for mobile-broadband-provider-info (should be very easy).

Unfortunately, I'm too busy till 30 December (I'd prefer to participate in 
exams as a student, not as a teacher but I have no choice).
