The patched behaviour is almost the same as the non-patched behaviour.
You don't talk about use case. You didn't say a single
word about the "why" you prefer it. So it looks like yet another 'on the
first glance that solution seems to be one everyone should be satisfied
with - so I'm for it' - reply.

So its best if I keep my own branch. So revert the patch if you prefer
it.
