[Nix-dev] optional packages for KDE

I did not enable all optional features in some KDE packages. Some of these are experimental and others I did not care about very much. NetworkManager is indeed one of them, I was too lazy too look into that. Maybe it is indeed useful to implement NetworkManager support in the near future.

Onderwerp: [Nix-dev] optional packages for KDE

Hello,

during building KDE 4 in NixOS, I got a warning which said something like
this:

> The following optional packages could not be found on your system: [.]

Then came a list of packages that couldn't be found. It included these:

    . Google Gadgets
    . libgps
    . Network Manager
    . Python
    . XMMS

Is this intended? I'm especially scared by the fact that (parts of) KDE will
miss Network Manager support. Does this mean that I won't be able to use the
Network Manager Plasma widget?

Best wishes,
Wolfgang
