To play with it clone haskell-nix-overlay only and try the example given
in the README file.

Nicolas Pierron already told me that I may have a chance replacing the
code comparing version lists by the primop compareVersions hopefully
improving performance.

You have to use latest nixpkgs (rev 18540).
