I use custom patched (well, not so much - mostly -rc) kernels. Sometimes
I want to change my kernel config. The simplest way to do it is to
unpack the source and run "make menuconfig". But it helps to have the
same source as used in the build. I prefer to get my kernel source with
one nix-build. Preferably a simple one. As there is already some
procedure to unpack and patch, I just reuse it and export the
ensured-to-be-in-sync source from configuration.
