Can you give some arguments ?
I'd like to remove my private patch or add it to nixpkgs introducing
such an attr set.

I got that idea because There are many small git utilities such as

stgit
topgit
qgit
...

most of them are only interesting to git users. So it would be most
naturally to not spead them all over all-packages.nix..

So if you all dislike the idea I'll add topgit as normal expression to
either applications or better to the tools section
