As Peter noted, you should change $LD_LIBRARY_PATH so that it works (see
also http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.distributions.nixos/1070).

IIRC Eelco had this on his TODO list ;-), and I suppose that's something
for the `stdenv-updates' branch.
