Some parts of my configuration does not work with the main line of
NixOS.  I am sorry about that.

As NixOS use Nix to install program safely, you may have some problem
by running command by hand (missing shell variables and default
paths).  Have you tried to start the xserver with the created
upstart-job ?  Try to start your xserver with the command:

$ initctl start xserver

In my configuration, I don't even have the Xorg command (even as
root), so pasting your configuration file could help us to find what's
wrong and to fix your problem.
