I'll try to understand how the stdenv-updates branch goes, and I'll
see how to commit there. I haven't followed that branch at all. Is
there any place I can read the purpose of that branch?

I'm already using the latest xorg, having solved the xkb problems.

(Using the HEAD of some video driver repositories, I finally have GL
acceleration! Unfortunately the video driver in the latest released
xorg was not enough for me. But I don't consider commiting this part
to any nixpkgs branch.)
