You can't (yet) pass those parameters on commandline .. you could patch
nix to do so.. but I reale doubt you want to.

At least I like that you have only 3 configs: the .nixpkgs/config,
/etc/nixos/configuration.nix and the nix repo(s) to define your system.
Parameters given on the commandline will be forgotten so if it ever
happens that you just want to have the same applications on anoter nix
system all you have to do is copying your personal config.
The command lines would have been lost and you would have to try to get
them right again (waste of time :-) (IMHO)
