Note that you can have a single /nix bind-mounted to /nixos-*/nix. Also
you can have multiple configurations inside one NixOS installation and
just change which of /nixos/nix/var/nix/profiles/system-*/... (or even
/nixos/var/run/current-system/fine-tune/child-*/...) is called from
/sbin init.
