The log I sent you doesn't contain any such line, just a warning that it
couldn't find `runtest' (!).  So I'm wondering whether the version I'm
building on my machine really runs the test-suite.  If mine doesn't and
yours does, then something's "impure" somewhere.

Are you building in a chroot?  Are you passing environment variables
through?
