[Nix-dev] Do you think this is a possibility to speed up creating .nix-profile ?

Each time I've installed an application nix is generating about
14.000 links now.
That's fine but takes a while.
Do you think it would be faster to first creaet a link represenation in
memory and then only remove/ create those links which have changed?

It's not a urgent matter - collecting thoughts only
