Good idea.  I've done a bit of XSLT hacking and here is the result:

  http://nix.cs.uu.nl/dist/nix/

So now it only shows the stable releases and the last unstable release. 
That should keep it a bit more manageable.  You can still click through to
the full list (which is now per-package).
